There is NO concept of Apocalypse in the Mayan culture

Part of the 2012 apocalypse mystique stems from the stars. On the winter solstice in 2012, the sun will be aligned with the center of the Milky Way for the first time in about 26,000 years. This means that “whatever energy typically streams to Earth from the center of the Milky Way will indeed be disrupted on 12/21/12 at 11:11 p.m. Universal Time.

But the Mayan Apocalypse is pure media hype. All the Mayans actually mention in one of their many calendars is a cycle of 5,126 years, and that cycle ends on Dec. 21, 2012. And a new cycle begins. There is no concept of a Mayan APOCALYPSE, zombie apocalypse or other type of apocalypse – in the Mayan culture. But you should still be prepared.
