Survival Guide Tip - Gather those tools

Looters took whole AV centers, cars, all thing technological and then broke or trashed things just for fun. Eventually the things they left strewn around, an axe to stockpile the wood siding of the empty house down the street or a box of grout to seal the shower, would turn out to be the objects of value.

Survival Guide Tip of the week:

Saws, crow bars and shovels will be even better than sex or chocolate in a disaster. You might be without power for a while with damage to your abode. So think about things like drills that you work by hand (imagine that). You can pick them up at garage sales or on eBay. If you never have to use them, no big loss. If you need them and don’t have them…

Recently I read about hand driven chain saws. Described as A flexible saw, or survival chainsaw, is a chainsaw-type blade strung between two handles. They all weigh in at 5 or 6 oz. They recommend the SabreCut Saw. Check it out.
